Last night my friend Scott and I did an annual tradition of ours, something we have done for many years each holiday season.  We pick a reasonably priced restaurant, nothing too crazy, and go out for dinner, and exchange birthday presents. (His is new year's eve!  He's always going to be 13 days older than me.  I get a little joy out of this.)

Anyhow, the christmasish (sure, it's a word) part of the tradition is that after dinner we leave a 100% tip in cash, and a nice note, and then quietly ghost on out of the restaurant, so the server doesn't have to be awkward about it.

I've known Scott for decades.  We've done this a lot.  It never, ever gets old.

I was running a bit late for work the other day, and considering not going to work out beforehand.

Then I didn't not do that.  (Ugh, terrible grammar.)

Instead, I went to the gym, stuffed all my crap in good old locker #69, and worked out anyhow, going for a nice 30 minute swim.  I put myself first.

When I got to work, the work I had to do was still waiting for me.  The other chores, errands, and home things I had to do that day still waited for me when I got around to them.

But I felt better all day because I had my priorities straight about my health.

Auntie Squee shared with me the other day her SQUEECRET RECIPE.  It's a three song playlist that helps her find focus, concentrate, and really bring her A-game to work, when she needs to.

You do have to use it properly, however.

The rules:

  1. Listen to the entire 3 song playlist.
  2. Listen to it in order.  There is no shuffling.
  3. You may repeat the list as much as you need it.  This last one isn't so much a rule as it is a guideline.

I was having one of those I-would-rather-hit-myself-in-the-face-with-a-dirty-waffle-iron-than-spend-one-more-minute-looking-at-this-stupid-code days at work the other day, and I applied the Squeecret Recipe.

Worked like a charm!

Here's the recipe:

Carribean Blue (by Enya)

White Rabbit (by Jefferson Airplane)

Space Unicorn (by Parry Gripp)

So the other day I'm driving to work, chatting on the phone with my Auntie Squee, and we're both having a giggle over this shark hat I'm wearing, because, well,

SHARK HAT

But then I was also telling her about the rest of my shark-themed ensemble that day.  I had on:

  • the shark hat (present from Katiebug)
  • my red "Mako from Legend of Korra" scarf (knitted for me by Katiebug)
  • my new custom-shark-embroidered sweater (christmas present from Rachel)
  • my shark boxer shorts (present from Missy)
  • new ocean-colors socks (present from Katiebug & Leah)

A considerable precentage of my wardrobe for the day was all stuff made for me or given to me by members of my polyamorous family.  This gives me enormous joy.  It's like I'm wearing their love for me on my sleeve.  And my head.  And around my neck.  And on my feet.  And covering my butt.

Well, you get the idea.

I can't recall exactly how or where I stumbled across this, but the other day I found an amazing site called OMGYES.

Simply put, it's a site about female masturbation.

It's not porn, but it is explicit.

It's a website containing research, videos, and "touchable video simulations" of women masturbating.

In a word, it's

BRILLIANT.

It's a super sex-positive, honest, direct exploration of the many ways women experience pleasure.

I saw a video on their site of a woman explaining how she uses edging.  Here's a tiny clip of some of what she said, audio only.

I can tell that both as an author, and someone who enjoys touching vaginas of women I love to help their owners feel good, I'm going to learn a lot from this site.
